Nissan India has officially launched its much-awaited “Intelligent SUV” Kicks with the price starting from Rs 9, 55,000. The competition in the condensed sports utility vehicle segment, which already features the likes of Hyundai Creta, Ford EcoSport and Renault Duster, has heated up with the launch of Kicks. Nissan is offering Kicks in two petrol variants – XL and XV – and four diesel variants – XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium +. The latest SUV would be accessible in 11 decent color options. The company is also offering a three-year warranty, three-year 24/7 roadside support and three-year service and maintenance for no extra cost with Kicks.
Interior:
The interior of the latest Nissan SUV consists of astonishing Dual-tone brown and black themed interiors, including the carbon fiber finishing; welcome one inside the cabin of Nissan’s all-new SUV. The vehicle is having a seating capacity of 5 persons. Nissan has given Kicks very bold and, as the company, claims “progressive” looks. As it was assured by the company, Kicks has got a few first-in-class and best-in-class features as well. The first-in-class features would be including a leather-wrapped soft-touch dashboard, door trims, and automatic AC as standard along with all the variants. The company claims shoulder and knee room and configurable storage with 400 liters boot space in Kicks to be the best-in-class. Among other first-in-class and best-in-class features are around view monitor display 360-degree camera and floating infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple Car Play. The company has also provided Nissan Connect feature as standard across all variants. In terms of safety, the latest Nissan Kicks would be approaching the markets with Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) and also the brake assist. Moreover dual airbags are offered in this vehicle for safety factors.

Exterior:
On its exterior Kicks gets Nissan’s signature chrome V motion grille, LED projector headlamps with DRLs, LED signature lamp and the floating roof with dual-tone styling. The SUV also features five-spoke machined alloy wheels, roof rail, boomerang tail lamps and door-mounted ORVM with indicators. SUV is 4,384 mm long and 1,813 mm wide, with its height and wheelbase being 1,656 mm and 2,673 mm. Its body is designed on GRAPHENE (Gravity-philic Energy Absorption) structure, helping it absorb any impact.
Engine:
Kicks get a 1.5-liter four-cylinder H4K petrol engine and 1.5-liter four-cylinder K9K DCI diesel engine. The diesel engine is 1461 cc and the petrol engine is of 1498 cc. The petrol engine is strongly capable of producing 106 bhp and peak torque of 142 Nm, whereas the diesel engine is having enough power to produce 110 bhp and peak torque of 240 Nm. The petrol and diesel engines are combined to a five-speed and six-speed manual transmissions, respectively. The capacity of the fuel tank of the latest Nissan kicks SUV is 50 liters.

Nissan needed to price Kicks carefully keeping the dense SUV segment leader Hyundai Creta’s price in mind in order to achieve a market for itself. Hyundai Creta is priced between Rs 9, 99,900 INR and 15, 35,373 INR (ex-showroom) in New Delhi. Therefore the price of kicks ranges between 9, 55,000 INR and Rs 14, 65,000 INR (ex-showroom).
