It has 19 inch aluminum alloy wheels that come standard in all versions of GLE including GLE 350, GLE 400 , AMG GLE 550e and AMG GLE 63S.
Rear side of vehicle is nicely finished specially tail lights with half part inside tail gate. As mentioned earlier this is a plug-in hybrid vehicle so the charging plug is given on the rear side of vehicle.
Interior:
Luxurious interior with unique improvements to cabin is what GLE 550e has, specifically it has premium leather seats with nice stitching same leather also applied on door trim, dashboard and steering wheel.
Talking about features it has long list but most fascinating is floating screen, as Mercedes is all about safety and the cool thing about screen is ergonomically adjustment in front of your eyes that didn’t divert your attention and can easily controlled using touch pad placed on center console.
It has no touch interface because that can create difficulties sometime. Features inside car are settled in such a way that you become familiar unknowingly.
Engine and Transmission:
It has 3.0 Liter turbo charged V6 engine with auto stop start feature, Engine has 6 inline cylinders that combine produce 436 horse power. It has fuel economy of 18 miles per gallon within city while 22 miles per gallon on highway but if combine electric and gasoline gives 39-40 Miles per gallon because it give 19 miles per gallon on pure electric.
You can use both modes whatever you want electric and gasoline. Top speed of GLE 550 E is 132 miles per hour where its takes 5.5 seconds to reach 0-60 miles per hour.
Transmission:
It has 7G- Tronic speed automatic transmission and if you prefer manual over automatic there are present paddle shifter right behind the wheel.
Comfort:
As I mentioned earlier there are improvements to the cabin of GLE 550 E plug-in hybrid so does there is enough head and leg room for rear seat passengers, there can sit five persons comfortably 2 on front and 3 on rear. Front seats are heated and have 4 way power lumbar support with driver memory where rear seats have cushion and seatback rear set.
