Nissan Murano SL 2017
Appreciate-able Design and beauty Nissan Murano has, it is a nice looking vehicle that look fantastic from front, rear and from all directions. There are no major changes from last year but defining this car can be a way to appreciating its design. Nissan Murano production was started from 2002 and now it is in its fourth generation. It has different trim levels S, SV, Sl, Platinum and Hybrid where last two are the new trim levels added in 3rd generation. Murano isn’t just a good SUV but it also won different awards and recognition’s. last one won in 2015 among 10 best interiors.
What is Murano/Meaning of Murano?
Murano is the name for series of Islands connected or linked using bridges in Venetian lagoon, northern Italy; important thing about these islands is they are famous for glass work or making of glass. Now it clearly defines if why this name has given to murano? as glass is used to making antiques and beautiful items so does antique and beautiful is Nissan Murano is.
Design:
Its exterior and interior both are luxurious and attractive, as I have already mentioned earlier in 2015 it won award for its best interior among top ten.
Exterior:
Its whole exterior is a piece of glory that is surrounded all the way by chromed sills and bars, Starting from front it has nice eye catching “V” shaped grill with multiple V lines and one big Chrome V line. One thing change in 2017 front is the addition of LED Day time running lights, below its front bumper again there’s given chrome border and black accent to make it more attractive.
Moving to side profile that is again perfect illustration of its fabulous design, one thing that I like most is shape given to mirror using chrome surrounding to the back. It has 18 inch aluminum alloy wheels that you can have in silver and grey.
Now the rear side of Nissan Murano has same bold design like front, it has boomerang style rear tail lights and has very large emblem. Below its tail gate again there are nice chrome accents.
Interior:
Its interior is much more beautiful than its exterior and you can’t deny that. Interior of Murano come in two different themes one is charcoal theme and other is cashmere theme both look fantastic. Seats have been covered using high quality leather, same leather used on doors interior, gear shift knob and for wrapping steering wheel.
Thing that I like most inside is the infotainment screen that is beautifully settled inside V shaped Chrome border (it just look fantastic). There is one important change being made to 2017 infotainment system that is addition of Apple car play, now you can connect you phone and use it easily while driving.
Engine and Transmission:
This Murano All wheel Drive SL has been loaded with 3.5 L V6 DOHC engine that produce 325 Nm @4400 Rpm peak torque with 260 Horse power.
This SUV has fuel economy of 21 miles per gallon within city and 28 miles per gallon on highway.
Transmission:
Murano has continuous variable transmission which is good but one little side effect of this is sacrificing little towing capacity now Murano can tow up to 1500 pounds.
Comfort:
This vehicle is surely made for comfort; a spacious and comfortable SUV always stays in demand so does Nissan Murano. Front seats are heated, position memory and 8 ways power 2 way lumbar support, Rear side has lot of space that give enough head and leg room for rear seat passengers. This is surely the first SUV that I have seen where 3 passengers can sit comfortably on long short trips.
On front side it has dual zone climate control where driver and passenger can have temperature of their requirement. To make its comfortable sitting more delightful there are given panoramic sunroof both for front and rear.
