All three trims get their power from a 2.3 liters, turbocharged, 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum of 270 horsepower with a maximum 310 lb-ft of torque. The transmission it offers is a 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission. The 2021 Ford Ranger features tuned suspension at the front and rear with monotube dampers for smoother ride quality.

Performance & Drive:

The 2.3 liters EcoBoost engine of the Ford Ranger is paired with a turbocharger that maximizes responsiveness by supplying maximum pulse energy to the turbine wheel with no la. Its raw torque acts when you are powering up, delivering the best performances. It offers you rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive depending on the type of road condition. The rear-wheel-drive comes with a ground clearance of 8.4 inches, while the four-wheel-drive offers a ground clearance of 8.9 inches. The towing capacity and payload of the 2021 Ford Ranger is also improved as it can tow up to 7500 pounds now, and you can carry a load of up to 1860 pounds confidently on your trip. Now its 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission is quick and smooth, features quick shifting up and down of gears, 3-overdrive gears, reduced drag actions, and wide spacing gears. The monotube dampers in the suspension provide you with higher damping forces when off-road conditions are unparalleled and provide lower damping forces when smoother road conditions. Thus, the tuned suspension is perfect for all types of road conditions, and it does not affect the comfort of the ride. The electronic-locking rear differential starts working for additional traction, and Terrain Management System offers four driving modes for your assistance. These driving modes include Normal, Grass/Snow/Gravel mode, Mud/Ruts mode, or Sand mode that can be chosen according to your road conditions and provide optimum traction for an amazing performance. The Ford Ranger fuel economy is not bad, giving you a 21 miles-per-gallon mileage in the city and 26 miles-per-gallon on the highways when rear-wheel-drive is selected. When selected, the four-wheel-drive gives you a mileage of 20 miles per gallon in the city and 24 miles per gallon on the highways.

Exterior design and features:

The exterior of the 2021 Ford Ranger has a fresh look with its black detailing. The front bumper is now tougher with robust-arch extensions, and new oval Ford Ranger badges are added on the sides and the rear, along with the badge on the central black grille. The extended cab known as SuperCab comes with a 6-foot bed at the rear and the SuperCrew cab has a bed of 5-foot at the back.

Interior design and features:

Now moving inside the Ford Ranger, the SuperCab model body style accommodates 4-adults in the cabin, and the SuperCrew model accommodates five adults. The driver gets a clear and commanding view of the road due to slightly higher seats, and the front compartment is quite roomy, as compared to the rear compartment, which has confining seats. The quality of materials used inside the cabin is good, but it does not give a luxury feel. You will get two sets of LATCH connections in the rear seats. There is a 4.2 inches screen working as an instrument cluster, and an 8-inches touch screen is mounted for infotainment. The infotainment system comes with a Wi-Fi system, Bluetooth connectivity, one USB port, Android Auto, and an Apple Car Play interface.
