Audi TTRS 2018

Audi’s are getting better and better every year so does Audi R8, TTRS is known more for its style than its substance and the only reason you buy the TTRS is the performance factor and power train. There are no regular trims available in TTRS but more specifically it has different packages that create the difference. This sporty and comfortable daily driving vehicle has great design on exterior and interior that makes this vehicle a nice place to spend most of the time.

Design Dynamics of Audi TTRS:

It has fantastic front with big bold hexagonal grille and two large air intakes on either side those didn’t just enhance its front styling but also provide more air to its engine. Rear side of vehicle has fixed spoiler and LED tail lights as standard while optionally you can also have adaptive spoiler and organic LED tail lights. Interior of vehicle is made up with nice combination of leather, Alcantara, Soft touch plastic and carbon fiber which gives you luxurious and premium feeling. All the things inside the cabin are driver focused like there is only single 12.3 inch cockpit display and all controls related to it are given on steering wheel, all these things make it sportier and performance focused vehicle. One thing that is missing inside this beautiful cabin is the moon roof that should be added or given as optional to make it more roomy and spacious.

New Additions in Audi TTRS:

This vehicle has great balance between too sporty and too luxurious while few up gradations make this even better for this year. In 2018 Audi TTRS has given total new engine with same 5 cylinders capacity but this new engine has 57 pounds less weight than previous while it produces 40 more horse power than last year.

Engine and Performance:

It has 2.5 Liter Turbo Premium five cylinders engine that produces 400 Horse power 40 more than previous and 479nm@1700rpm torque. Top speed of vehicle is 154 miles per hour but with dynamic package it goes up to 174 miles per hour while accelerating 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds. Like all the other Audi’s this also has Quattro all wheel drive system but in 2018 TTRS it is actually a Haldex setup in which 100 percent torque can be sent to rear wheels.

Comfort and Safety:

This is not two seated but a four seated vehicle while counting this as a two seated will be the right option because rear seats don’t have enough space for adjusting adults but can be used for storage or for children’s. In terms of driving this have four different modes while shifting from comfort to dynamic mode it becomes stiffer and you feel more bumps but maybe it is okay with performance oriented vehicle. This issue of stiffness is present in most of the Audi’s car they need to resolve this to provide better ride to their customers.

Counting this for safety; currently no safety ratings are available for this vehicle and the one odd thing with its safety side is the absence of driver assistance package which cannot be added latterly as well.

Cargo:

It has surprisingly big cargo area which is as much as most of midsized sedans.

Conclusion:

Great combination of sportiness, performance and quality with 400 Horse Powered engine that has capacity to accelerate 0-60 in just 3.4 seconds.
