BMW 1 Series third generation was launched in 2019, and unlike its previous generation, the 3rd generation came with a front-wheel-drive configuration as standard and an optional all-wheel-drive. It is available as a five-door hatchback only, while the earlier generations were available as a hatchback, coupe, and convertible body style. This subcompact executive car was launched in Pakistan by Dewan Motors. The latest BMW 1 Series price is kept competitive compared to other vehicles of the same class. Its power train, great economics, and neat dynamics are considered its best features. It switches from rear-wheel-drive to front-wheel-drive, which is not very generous but not a bad thing either. The BMW 1 Series is a sporty, relaxed, and safe vehicle that offers a cutting-edge chassis system and the latest technology. The BMW 1 Series is available in eight trim levels overall which are 116i, 118i, 120i, 128ti, M135i xDrive, 116d, 118d, and 120d xDrive. All the variants differ in their engine capacities and driving efficiencies.

116i:Â it is a base-level trim that gets its power from 1.5 liters, three-cylinder, four-valve engine which generates 109 hp of power at 4300 RPM to 6500 RPM and a torque of 190Nm at 1380 RPM to 3800 RPM. It is paired with a 6-speed manual transmission.
118i:Â Gets its power from a 1499cc, three-cylinder engine that generates 136 hp of power at 4500 RPM to 6500 RPM and 220 Nm of torque at 1500 RPM to 4100 RPM. It offers a six-speed manual transmission.
120i:Â gets its power from a 1998cc, four-cylinder engine that generates 178 hp of power at 5000 RPM to 5500 RPM and a torque of 280 Nm at 1350 RPM to 4200 RPM. It offers 7-speed Steptronic dual-clutch transmission.
128ti:Â gets its power from a 1998cc, four-cylinder engine that generates 265 hp of power and 400 Nm of torque. It offers 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
M135i xDrive: It is an all-wheel-drive trim that gets its power from a 1998cc four-cylinder engine that generates 306 hp of power and 450 Nm of torque. It offers 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
116d:Â gets its power from a 1496cc three-cylinder engine that generates 116 hp of power and 270 Nm of torque and offers a 6-speed manual transmission.
118d:Â gets its power from a 1995cc four-cylinder engine that generates 150hp to 136 hp of power and 350Nm of torque. It offers a 6-speed manual transmission.
120d xDrive:Â Gets its power from a 1995cc four-cylinder engine that generates 190 hp of power at 4000 RPM and 400 Nm of torque at 1750 RPM to 2500 RPM. It comes with an all-wheel-drive configuration and an 8-speed Steptronic transmission.
Performance & Drive:
All the variants of the BMW 1 Series deliver powerful performance. The 128ti is the sporty representative of all the models, and its petrol engine comes with Twin Turbo technology. It gives you the highest standard of driving dynamics along with a differential lock on the front axle. The M-derived suspension in 128ti gives excellent handling and smooth performance with a chassis tuned toward the road. The M135i delivers fast performance among all the variants with its all-wheel drive, and it takes just 4.8 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour. The 128ti trim takes 6.1 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour. The BMW 1 Series offers enough mechanical grips in both the front-wheel-drive configuration and all-wheel-drive configuration. The manual and automatic transmissions work efficiently and shift smoothly while the steering feel is responsive and controls the car confidently with less effort. You can turn the car with a nicely balanced bend with lots of traction. The fuel efficiency of the BMW 1 Series is excellent, and 116d becomes the best-seller trim because of its highest fuel efficiency. The 116d consumes 3.8 liters to 4.1 liters to travel a distance of 100 kilometers, while the all-wheel-drive trim consumes 6.3 liters to 6.7 liters of fuel to give a mileage of 100 kilometers.
Exterior Design & Features:
The exterior design of the BMW 1 Series is sporty with an aggressive front end that has large-sized air inlets and a flowing silhouette through the shoulder contours. The double kidney grille gives the front apron a bolder look, and the LED headlights sweep aside. The roof spoiler is made of glossy black PUR that gives it elegance and counts for aerodynamic design. The rear end has a carbon-fiber diffuser that creates an eye-catching glance. The flowing roofline merges into the distinctive rear, and the 18-inches M alloy wheels with double-spoke style give it a sportier design.
Interior Design & Features:
The inside is designed elegantly with M Sports seats with integrated headrests and backrest bolsters, offering the driver and front passenger comfort. The driving seat is easily adjustable according to your requirement, and you will find leather upholstery in all the variants. The Live Cockpit of BMW consists of a 10.25-inch instrument cluster with high resolution and a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. The operating system of BMW is operated via the iDrive Touch Controller.
