Lexus GSF 2018

Body of sedan and qualities of a sports car; this is the Lexus GSF 2018, it is the fastest and most powerful sedan of the company, it has aggressive design that makes it feel like a bullet when watched from the side.

Design Dynamics of Lexus GSF:

Exterior:

This performance vehicle of the Lexus Company has great exterior styling and sporty looks; which is based on same spindle grille on front like other models of Lexus but the spindle grille in GSF is more functional than other models. Front looks more aggressive and gorgeous at the same time with triple LED lights with day time running lights and carbon fiber trip piece down on the bottom of the lip. Moving to the side it has automatic diming and powerful folding mirrors with led turn signals, 19 inch wheels are standard on GSF and polished forged wheels are optional. Like just its great looking front it has great looking rear composed of same beautiful looking LED tail lights and carbon fiber spoiler.

Interior:

Lexus GSF interior is excellent, composed of beautiful red or Black & while leather trim inside on seats and door panels. Other than leather it has soft alcantara on dashboard, doors & front center arm rest while on all four doors carbon fiber pieces are also used to make it look even better. Like other models of Lexus gauges present in GSF are not sliding but like other modes GSF has same 12.3 inch infotainment screen that controls through mouse pad. Most of the functions of vehicle are operate through actual physical buttons that makes it very simple and easy to understand.

Engine & Power:

It has the same engine as RCF and LC 500 which is 5.0 liter naturally aspirated v8 that produces 407 horse power with 389 Lbft@4800rpm of torque, Top speed of vehicle is 168 miles per hour and it accelerates 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. This V8 has no turbo and super charges, it is direct and port injected paired with 8 speed direct shift automatic transmission with manual shift ability. Lexus GSF available in rear wheel drive only and fuel efficiency of vehicle is 16 miles per gallon in city and 24 miles per gallon on highway.

Driving experience:

It feels really solid but steering wheel doesn’t have a performance like feel, it is not as connected and firm as you might want but still it is very precise, sport plus mode alters the steering and gear ratio but it’s not that noticeable, Putting it in to sport mode changes the damper so you are in more performance minded settings and it feels more firm with firm riding. Paddle shifts are very smooth but just not quite as fast as you hope for performance sedan.

Ride quality:

This is not as quiet from inside as expected and this is little stiffer and more performance oriented but you feel very planted and confident. It is definitely fun to drive car and Lexus has done the great job of putting lot of performance in this car but still it is not as fast as some German rivals out there.

Comfort and Safety:

Front seats of the Lexus GSF 2018 are heated and ventilated and have 10 way power adjustable with lumbar support for driver and  8 way power adjustable support for passenger. Front seats are excellent comfortable and supportive, has bolstering on both the sides that make you planted very well while driving around the corners. It is more comfortable than you expect from a performance oriented vehicle. Rear seats are comfortable as well and for passengers it has pretty good amount of head and leg room, rear vents are also given there.

Safety:

The GSF does give us an advanced safety system with Lexus safety plus being standard that includes options for pre-collision warning, pedestrian detection, all speed radar cruise control, automatic high beam and lane departure alert with lane keep assist.

Conclusion:

Other than performance it is a well balanced comfortable drive for daily use and with torque vectoring differential as standard you have a saloon on track.
