Mercedes-Benz G 550  2017

Off roads are cars remain my favorite and today the car about which I am writing is another off road vehicle made and introduce by Mercedes. No doubt this Benz G class 550 is a perfect and awesome car for visiting hilly areas. Another thing that I like most in this car is the iconic styling that didn’t just made it an off road vehicle but also a ride that suites your personality everywhere. Let’s move little ahead to know all its details.

Design:

A big bold car that has great design on its exterior and great features inside, if you need a car for offloading you can never get better designed and suitable car than this.

Exterior:

Starting from front that is obviously big like whole body has a big star in the center, it has a massive chrome grill that has 3 part splitter on front. Long single head lamps design with daytime running lights right below the lamps; it also has a very large air intake along bottom on front.

Its front hood will feel you little different because it’s not like other cars but lifted above from the center, this is something Mercedes done to look it more attractive. Moving to the side of car it has so attractive wheel design that usually not found in most of off road vehicles, these are titanium look black alloy wheels. There is a very large running board along the side of car that surely made it more like an off road vehicle.

One cool thing in its side design is how door handlers have been lined with side trim of car. Rear side of car has a spare tire and same bold look like front.

Interior:

As fantastic is the exterior so does the interior that has lot of space inside and made you feel much more comfortable. Such nice interior styling usually not found in off road vehicles, it has so beautiful center console from where you can control all settings like shifting modes of car, suspensions and others.

This is made much more ergonomic so it didn’t divert you attention from driving. It has a nice floating screen and when you come to control navigation, radio or telephone settings it has great visibility and being made to not distract driver who might be looking for controls that has been place on center console in right range from where driver can easily change settings, its interface also made much easier that it doesn’t take time to work with. It has overall black interior with black leather seats that look just perfect.

Engine and Transmission:

As it is a off road car that’s why it has big v8 engine of 4.0 Liter capacity with 8 inline cylinder, it produces  peak torque of 610 Nm @ 250 Rpm with 416 Horse power that may be the ideal power required for traveling off roads.

It has top speed of 130 miles per hour where it has nice acceleration that make to reach 0-60 miles per hour in just 5.7 seconds. As it has big engine that produce lot of power so its fuel economy is much low but as off road car it is not bad, it gives 13 miles per gallon in city while 14 miles per gallon on highway.

Transmission: Mercedes Benz G 550 has 7-G Tronic automatic transmission but if you want to control it manually than there are given paddle shifter right behind the wheel so you can have fun as you want.

Comfort:

It has lot of space inside with wider and wider seats; it has seating capacity for five members but not like other off roads or sedans. It has 5 separate seats 2 on front and 3 on rear, you may have seen middle passenger on rear seats feel UN-comfortable but no in Mercedes G-550 because here seats are not combined, this thing made this car more comfortable for all passengers.

More front seats in G-550 are heated and ventilated that also has power adjustment and power lumbar support.

Moving to rear there is lot of head and leg room that make no issues for passengers on bumpy roads. Another nice feature in the car is the control and adjustment of suspension that you can have the most suitable settings. It has lot more features that you can find below
