Nissan Sentra Nismo 2017

Nissan nismo was showed as a concept car in 2013 but now it’s a fully functional model that has very few changes in 2017 model. If you are looking for balance, affordable and entry level performance car than this is the one you were waiting for. It is not a luxury vehicle as you can see price is much affordable but still a nice choice with great exterior and interior design. You must be thinking what could be the meaning of word “Nismo” so it stands for Nissan Sport Motor, but if we relate this car with its name than it is not the one that it should have to be. There are many lacks in this car that shouldn’t be there in such famous vehicle of Nissan.

Design:

It is a cooler looking Vehicle that is surely a best vehicle for you if you prefer design over performance, but if you are looking for both at the same time than you have to go for others.

Exterior:

Front is nice with small black grill, good looking LED low beam day time running headlamps and below LED fog lights. One thing that I like in its design is red color unique front fascia, unique sill and unique rear fascia.

Thing that is change in 2017 model is 18 inch aluminum alloy wheels that have added for the first time in Sentra model. From its exterior view it is very much aesthetically pleasing vehicle. One important thing about its body design is functional aerodynamic air kit that reduces lift force by 30 percent on high speed. More on exterior it has black power mirror with turn indicators, chrome door handlers and chromed side windows trim.

Interior:

There is nice color combination of red and black used inside vehicle but it is not a luxury vehicle as lot of things missing. Starting from seats that are covered using cloth and black material (no leather) but good thing is these seats are more bolster.

There is no sunroof present in the car that may be skipped to reduce wait and increase rigidity of the vehicle. It has small infotainment screen controlled using manual knob, it didn’t have apple car play or android for better interaction and connectivity.  Everything else inside is same as 2016 leaving fake carbon fiber used on doors just to make its interior more appealing as you can understand how can be there carbon fiber in vehicle of this price.

Engine and Transmission:

This Nismo 2017 has loaded with 1.6 L 4 cylinder direct injection gasoline turbocharged engine that produces 239@5200 peak torque with 188 horse power. Top Speed of Nismo is 131 miles per hour where it takes 7.0 seconds to reach 0-60 miles per hour. Fuel economy of car is good which is 25/31 miles per gallon in city and on highway.

Transmission:

It has both transmissions manual and CVT, current version we are discussing has 6 speed manual transmission. One odd thing with automatic nismo is it didn’t have paddle shifter if you want to drive it manually than you have to go for manual version.

Comfort:

Structure of the vehicle has been stiffened that is done to make it more balanced and stick to the ground. It has unique rear monotube shocks absorbers that make rear side of car to respond more quickly on sharp turns. Its front seats are supportive and heated where driver seat is 6 way manual adjustable and front passenger’s 4 way adjustable, there is no lumbar support in vehicle.

Rear seats are good as well but there is no arm rest and no power ports for plaguing you mobile phone. But if we count rear seats in term of space than there is enough head and leg room for nicely heighted adults. It has no auto and dual zone climate control but standard air conditioner with air vents for rear seat passengers.
