Toyota Premio is the Japanese Sedan that was introduced in japan in 2001 and it was the successor of Toyota Carina. It was a four-door compact car built on Toyota MC Platform in Japan. Two generations of it have been introduced till now with first-generation available from 2001 to 2007 and the second generation available from 2007 up till now. The second generation has a front engine with a front-wheel-drive option or four-wheel drive option. It is available in three variants including 1.5 litres 1NZ-FEI4, 1.8L 2ZR-FEI4 and 2.0L 3ZR-FAEI4. This has been seen on roads of Pakistan for a decade and undoubtedly became one of the best imported Japanese cars in Pakistan. Toyota has made its Premio worth praising with all the luxury provided to its customers. It offers all the variants in Pakistan too but the 1.8 litres 2ZR-FEI4 made most fame with a four-wheel-drive option. If you are looking for a used and good-conditioned 2007 Toyota Premio 1.8 litres version then you can get it with a price range from 17 to 25 lacs Pakistani rupees.
Engine and performance:
It has a powerful engine of 1797 cc displacement and DOHC FOUR Valves per cylinder generating power of 140bhp kilowatts at 6000rpm and torque of 175Nm at 4400rpm. It provides a mileage of 14 kilometres per litre in the city and 18 kilometres per litre on highways. The new 2ZR engine is different from its predecessor 1ZR because of its increased piston stroke, more power and providing more mileage. It provides automatic transmission only with a fuel tank capacity of sixty litres and provides a top speed of 180 kilometres.
Exterior Desing & features:
Car is 1475 millimetres in length, 1695 millimetres in width, 1475 millimetres in height and ground clearance of 157 millimetres. It is a compact car with a rear fog lamp, rear wiper for driving in heavy rains, ultraviolet glass and an Antilock braking system. It provides an optional feature of Xeon headlights and aluminum wheels while the original wheels that are provided with it are steel cap wheels of 2700 wheelbase and 15 inches wheel size. It is a four-door car with a seating capacity for five persons.
Interior Design & features:
Interiorly the car is 1975 millimetres in length and 1395 millimetres in width giving a spacious interior to the car. It provides two theme colours for the cabin that are white and silver metallic. It is equipped with all basic features including central lock, power windows, front and back seat belts, side-impact bar, airbags for drivers and passengers, a car navigation system, air conditioning and a heating system.

Advantages:
If we define the Toyota Premio 2007 model in one word then it would be comfortable. It provides a spacious cabin that looks so luxurious and astonishing in appearance. There are wooden trim pieces encrypted on the dashboard, central console and door handle. The car is equipped with power steering that makes it easy to handle and drive. It has a good ground clearance and it does not touch any speed breaker while driving. The drive is very smooth without any jerks or bumpy feelings because of good suspension. It has ABS and it stops smoothly on applying brakes. It provides a good fuel average economy providing 12 kilometres per litre easily in the city. Overall it is a very comfortable car best for longer routes giving roomy cabin and good fuel economy.
Disadvantages:
While talking about the disadvantages then one of the biggest disadvantages of this imported car is the availability of its spare parts that make it a very difficult job to find when you need maintenance creating the maintenance value of the car very high. Feedback on the car is also not promising. If you want the car for your personal use then you may buy it but if you want it for profit then it might not be your choice because many new cars with the latest and advanced features are available in markets.
Conclusion:
Toyota Premio 1.8 litres 2007 model is available in used condition with a price range from 17 to 25 lacs Pakistani rupees but within this price range locally assembled Toyota Corolla and Honda Civic are also available that are more reliable in terms of readily available spare parts and resale value. On the other hand, Toyota Mark X imported car is also available within the same price range and you have an option of Honda Accord too. But if you want to buy Toyota Premio for your family use then it might not be a bad option because it provides many excellent features as discussed above and excluding the resale value if you are looking for a family car with maximum comfort and economical features then this sedan should be your first choice when buying a used car of the similar budget.
