Mercedes Benz has now officially launched its dense 7-seater SUV the GLB, and it is going to be placed between the GLA and GLC. It has three rows of seating but the last two seats of the third row are optional, they can be entirely removed to add more space for luggage. The latest 2020 Mercedes GLB will be celebrating its world premiere in Utah in June and will be accessible for sale globally, in the second half of this year. The manufacturing of Mercedes GLB has been done at the Aguascalientes (Mexico) plant, and for the market of Chinese, it is done in Beijing. The multiple safeguard claddings nicely divide the overall segments and maintain the SUV’s off-road factor, as the simulated underride guard at the front and rear does.

Interior of GLB:

The interior of the compact SUV includes a widescreen front view for the driver, which makes the drive more comfortable. Moreover, it has a seating capacity of seven persons in which the first-row seats are with the headroom of 1035 mm which is the best in this segment. It has a load compartment capacity of 560 to 1755 liters. It also has the option of adjusting accordingly and as standard, the backseats can be adjusted in various stages. As a result of this adjustment, this allows the load compartment to become bigger and add 179 liters to the total.

In terms of safety, the Mercedes GLB comes up with a range of safety equipment which includes head restraints, seat belts with belt tensioners, a side window airbag that also protects the passengers of third-row seats. The comfort features in third-row seats include two drinks holders in the center of seats and two stowage compartments including a rubberized insert on the left and right in the load compartment trim, and each contains a USB port with it. To expand the load compartment, the seats can be lowered so that they are flush with the load compartment floor. The dashboard of SUV is designed in such a way that it possesses an impact of robustness and a certain fun factor as well. There is an air conditioning control panel located below the nozzle, whose buttons create an impact that they have been built by a strong aluminum cylinder.

The engine of GLB:

The GLB contains the 1.3-liter petrol unit which is good enough for 161 bhp and 250 Nm. The GLB 250 has a 2-liter unit with 221 bhp and torque of 350 Nm. Both GLB 200d and GLB 250d are powered by 2-liter diesel and put up 148 bhp and 188 bhp respectively. All the engines of SUV are combined with an eight-speed DCT, although the petrol unit is powered by a 7-speed unit.

The expected price of GLB is 40 to 42 lakhs Indian Rupee.
