The second-generation Hyundai Creta dense SUV shall be having a world premiere at the 2020 Delhi Auto Expo. The car would then be launched in India first, within a month of its revealing. Customers are expecting various drive train options, including diesel and petrol. The facelift model of Creta has been introduced by the Hyundai. The new model has been launched after three years from the introduction of the pre-facelift compact SUV. The Creta has always been a strong package particularly, so it shall be coming up with the same power train options as before. There are some creative changes just to freshen things up along with additional features with this 2018 facelift. A Hyundai Creta is equipped with a rich list of features; Standout features include wireless phone charging, a smart key, a powered driver seat, and an electric sunroof. Of course, you also get segment staples like steering-mounted audio and phone controls, cruise control, auto AC with rear AC vents, a smart key with push-button start and an auto-dimming interior rearview mirror.

Exterior:

The first thing that attracts you about the 2018 Hyundai Creta’s design is that it owes a traditional and a boxy look. While its rivals, like Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Renault Captured, are crossovers, whereas the squared-off edges of the Creta give it a unique look. It comes up with a height of 1630 mm and moreover it is also among the tallest SUVs in the segment. It owes 190mm of ground clearance and you can handle the rough stuff when needed. The latest Creta contains the Hyundai family grille and the revised grille gets a broader chrome accent around it that joins into the headlamps at the top corners. The DRLs have now shifted down to the mildly redesigned front bumper and surround the fog lamps. If we have a look at the side view that only difference in its exterior is a roof rail and a set of 17-inch five-spoke machine-cut alloys wheels that makes its overall look shiny and eye-catching.

Interior:

If it isn’t broken, don’t fix it. That simply entirely defines the changes to the interior of the new Creta. Getting in and out of the dense SUV is quite easy since it doesn’t sit too high up from the ground. The only things that get in the way are the thick side sills, which make getting in or out of the car a little tricky for senior citizens. Once inside, you’re welcome by a cabin that balances styling with sensibility. The black and beige two-tone interior is still offered and those desiring for the SX Dual Tone can have an all-black interior as well. Premium touches of leather on the seats, armrest, steering, and gear lever, join hands with well-built and smooth-to-touch plastics to give you an upmarket experience. You do feel like you’re getting your money’s worth.

Engine:

The petrol engine on the Creta is the 1.6L VTVT unit carried over from Verna. This engine is capable of putting up 123PS of power and 151Nm of torque. The diesel Hyundai Creta had impressed customers with its refinement levels but petrol is simply magnificent. This engine offers acceptable performance. Much like it is in the Verna, the engine doesn’t do anything to excite. It offers easy drivability in the city but needs you to apply a calm driving style. To really get the performance out of this motor, you do have to push it but that will take its charge on fuel efficiency.

Price:

The expected price of the Hyundai Creta is 11.23 lakh INR.
