Honda is ready to give us an all-new product in its Civic lineup. It was informed last year that the Civic would be available in a hatchback version, and now the Company has revealed the debut date for the Honda City hatchback. Along with a teaser photograph of the new body style, which will be shown on June 23, Honda has announced some exciting news that the hatchback will retain its six-speed manual transmission. Honda teased the five-door version of the 11th-generation Civic sedan with a teaser photograph. The latest incarnation of the popular compact hatchback will make its official debut later this month during a virtual music event.

In Greensburg, Indiana, Honda’s plant will produce the Civic hatchback for the first time in the United States. It’s the first Civic Hatch ever made in the United States, which is quite impressive. The sedan being manufactured in Alliston, Ontario, which is further north in Canada. We expect the hatchback Civic to be priced similarly to the recently available model, and Honda has yet to reveal the whole list of standard and optional features. The overall design for the Honda Civic Hatchback will be changed, but the power train options from the previous-generation Civic will carry over.

The sedan base model, which has a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine, and generates 158 horsepower, will not be offered in the Honda Civic hatchback. The highest trim, which has a turbocharged 1.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 180 horsepower, will be offered in it. It will only be available in the front-wheel-drive, and the all-wheel driving feature will not be available in it. The Continuously Varying Transmission will be available in the hatchback version along with the manual transmission. The Honda Civic hatchback available in three trim levels are LX, Sport, and EX trim levels.

The Honda Civic hatchback will feature a redesigned greenhouse and increased cargo space in the back, which will be the most noticeable differences seen in the B-pillar. The only photograph we have of the automobile is from a profile angle, highlighting the vehicle’s raised roofline and not much else. The windows are looking sharp and pointed in the image.

The Honda Civic Hatchback features will be released on June 23, 2021, at the virtual event. The Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter and actress will perform, along with special guests R&B duo Majid Jordan. The official event will be broadcast live on Honda’s official channel on YouTube on June 23, at 6 p.m Pacific Time.

The pricing for the  Civic hatchback is still unknown. We only know the prices for the 11th generation sedan Civic. The entry-level Civic LX sedan starts at $22,695, and the top-of-the-line Touring model starts at $29,295, hinting at the hot hatch’s price range. Once the Honda Civic’s hatchback is revealed, the performance models, the Si and Type R model, will be released.
