The 660cc Alto hatchback is once again the subject of a recall from Pak Suzuki. The Alto has been recalled three times in the past four months, each time for the same issue—a malfunctioning gasoline filler neck. According to a notice the firm shared on social media, Suzuki has made the decision to launch a servicing campaign for the Alto models produced in the years 2019, 2020, and 2022. “Head to the nearest dealership and get gasoline filler neck changed free of charge,” the corporate post said.

The gasoline filler neck of the Alto can corrode with time and, in the worst-case scenario, it may even perforate, endangering the safety of the car and its occupants, claims Pak Suzuki. If left neglected, the rust may even combine with the gasoline and harm the engine. Customers who receive calls from the company are instructed to go to the closest dealership and get the defective part replaced at no cost.
