Champions of Innovation: FERN Represents Pakistan and Shines at FSUK 2023

Once again, Formula Electric Racing-NUST (FERN) has proved their incredible skills and determination on the world stage by achieving impressive success at the renowned Formula Student (FS) UK 2023 competition held at the famous Silverstone Circuit. Not only did they represent Pakistan, but they also proudly represented the entire South Asian region in the FS Class. The competition was intense, with more than 100 teams from all over the globe participating, each showcasing the cars they had designed and built themselves.

FERN’s exceptional performances stood out among the rest, leaving a lasting impression on the judges and the audience. Their hard work and attention to detail were evident when they secured the 5th position in the highly competitive Cost Event. This achievement showcased their ability to plan and design their car in a cost-efficient manner, distinguishing them as one of the top contenders in the event. What’s even more remarkable is that FERN was the only team from the South Asian region to make it to the finals of the Cost Event, proving their mettle on an international level.

In the challenging Lap Time Simulations (LTS) event, where precision and speed are crucial, they secured a commendable 10th position, further solidifying their position among the best teams in the competition. Additionally, their dedication to innovative design and engineering excellence earned them the 41st spot in the demanding Design Event, a testament to their ability to create a well-thought-out and high-performing car.

FERN also demonstrated their business acumen and presentation skills in the Business Plan Presentation (BPP) event, securing an impressive 9th place.
