Zeekr 001 FR: A Speedy Electric Car by Geely

Geely has launched a luxury electric car called the Zeekr 001 FR in China. It costs $105,100, and they only make 99 of these cars each month. This car is meant to compete with the Tesla Model S Plaid.

The Zeekr 001 FR is an impressive high-performance electric car. It has four electric motors that give it 1,248 horsepower and 1,280 Nm of torque. This means it can go from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.36 seconds from a standstill or 2.07 seconds in a rolling start.

What’s special about the Zeekr 001 FR is its ability to do a “tank turn.” This means it can spin like a tank, thanks to its four separate SiC permanent magnet synchronous electric motors. It also has a clever system that adjusts power to each wheel in real-time. It’s got powerful brakes, with 10-piston brake calipers in the front and 4-piston brake calipers in the back. It even has Brembo carbon ceramic brake discs. Thanks to its lightweight carbon fiber aerodynamic kit, the car can handle high lateral forces, up to 1.4G.

The Zeekr 001 FR also has a special feature: a driving mode created with the help of Formula-1 legend Kimi Raikkonen, who recently teamed up with Zeekr. This mode can boost the car’s power from 1,248 horsepower to 1,282 horsepower and can be added through an Over-The-Air (OTA) update. Kimi Raikkonen will also work with Zeekr to improve future versions of their cars.

To make sure power goes where it’s needed, the Zeekr 001 FR has all-wheel drive and the Zeekr Vectoring Control system. When it does the tank turn, it can generate a lot of torque. This is Geely’s most powerful car to date, and they say it’s the world’s fastest mass-produced car. They also plan to make it even better with help from Kimi Raikkonen.
