Dodge 1025 HP Crate Engine for SRT Demon 170
It’s Halloween, and something exciting has happened: the powerful Hellephant C170 crate engine is now available. You can buy it starting early next year, and it’s the same engine that’s used in the Dodge Challenger SRT Demon 170. You can get it from Direct Connection.
First, there’s the “entry-level” Hellephant C170 6.2L Supercharged Crate HEMI Long Block, which costs $18,995. It may be a bit pricey, but it can produce an impressive 1,025 horsepower and 945 lb-ft of torque when using E85 ethanol fuel.
If you want a more complete engine, you can get the fully assembled Hellephant C170 6.2L Supercharged Crate HEMI Engine for $27,695. This version includes a new supercharger, a larger snout, and other upgrades for more power.
Besides the Hellephant engines, there are other crate engines coming out too. There’s the Hellcrate with 717 horsepower for $9,495, and the Hellcrate Redeye with 807 horsepower for $12,995. If you have a smaller budget, there’s the 345 Crate HEMI Long Block with 383 horsepower for $4,495, or the 392 Crate HEMI Long Block with 485 horsepower for $6,995.
Finally, Direct Connection will offer versions of the new twin-turbo 3.0-liter Hurricane inline-six engine. The entry-level HurriCrate Cat 1 Twin Turbo Crate Long Block costs $6,495 and provides 420 horsepower. For more power, you can go for the $8,995 HurriCrate Cat 3 Twin Turbo Crate Long Block with 550 horsepower.
