Affordable Luxury: Introducing the Yuanhang Y6 Electric Sedan

Dayun is part of the Shanxi Tongda Group. They have been making scooters since 1999 and started making trucks in 2009. Since 2020, they have been selling cheaper passenger cars. They have two electric cars and a gas-powered pickup truck, but they don’t sell many of them. In 2022, they only sold about 20,000 cars. Last year, Dayun started a new brand called Yuanhang to make high-end electric cars. They want to move from making cheap cars to making premium ones.

The Y6 is built on a special platform made by Bosch and Huawei. It’s a bit bigger than the Nio ET7. Inside, it has five seats, a big 17.38-inch screen, a 70-inch AR-HUD, and 19 speakers. You can choose from five different ways the car’s engine works:

  1. Rear-wheel drive (RWD), 340 horsepower, an 88.42-kilowatt-hour battery, and a range of 720 kilometers.
  2. RWD, 340 horsepower, a 100-kilowatt-hour battery, and a range of 810 kilometers.
  3. Four-wheel drive (4WD), 680 horsepower, an 88.42-kilowatt-hour battery, and a range of 620 kilometers.
  4. RWD, 680 horsepower, a 100-kilowatt-hour battery, and a range of 720 kilometers.
  5. RWD, 707 horsepower, a huge 150-kilowatt-hour battery, and a super long range of 1,020 kilometers.

Dayun, a Chinese company, has started making a big electric car called the Yuanhang Y6. It’s getting ready to be sold. The Y6 will be sold at the Guangzhou Auto Show, and it will cost between 329,800 and 529,800 yuan (which is about 45,300 to 72,800 USD). This car can go for a long distance of 1,020 kilometers on a single charge. It will compete with other cars like the Voyah Passion and Nio ET7. The Y6 is Dayun’s first step into making high-end electric cars.

The Yuanhang Y6 is made at the Dayun factory, which also makes cheaper electric cars like the Yuanzhi M1 and Yuehu. Dayun got the permission to sell the Y6 from the Chinese government, so they are ready to start selling it. They started taking orders for the Y6 with five different options, and the prices range from 329,800 to 529,800 yuan (which is about 45,300 to 72,800 USD).

The Yuanhang Y6 will be shown at the Guangzhou Auto Show. Right now, not many people know about this brand, and its cars look similar to other cars. So, Yuanhang is not very famous. But the Y6 might change that.
