The GWM Tank 500 HEV

Sazgar has recently brought out a new car in Pakistan called the GWM Tank 500 HEV. It’s a fancy SUV with three rows of seats that can fit seven people. People are talking a lot about it because it’s a luxury vehicle. The price is PKR 4.5 crore, but you can book it for PKR 1.0 crore and get it in 3-4 months. It’s being compared to the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado because they’re similar in size.

The Tank 500 is 5,078mm long, 1,934mm wide, and 1,905mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,850mm. It has a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder petrol hybrid engine that makes 346hp/615Nm. This SUV comes with a 9-speed automatic gearbox and all-wheel drive. The Tank 500 has cool features like a big 14.6-inch touchscreen, a 12.3-inch display behind the steering wheel, a 360-degree camera, 12 speakers, fancy leather seats, a big sunroof, air conditioning for three zones, and colorful interior lighting. It’s safe too, with 6 airbags and a lane departure warning system.

The Tank 500 also has a smart 4×4 system with 11 driving modes for different road conditions. Since its debut in 2021 and release in 2022, GWM has worked hard to make the Tank 500 a good alternative to the Toyota LC Prado. In places where it’s sold, like other countries, the Tank 500 has become a rival to the Prado and people like it. We’ll have to wait and see if rich people in Pakistan will consider buying it instead of the Prado.
