The world’s longest and fastest internet submarine cable has arrived in Pakistan.
To enhance internet speeds across the country, the ‘2Africa Cable’ is being physically connected, with operations expected to commence in 2025. By 2025, users will be able to benefit from high-speed internet.
After its installation under the sea in Africa and then Oman, the cable was brought to Pakistan’s Hawksbay shore in Karachi by a company named Transworld.
According to Chief Technical Officer Aamiruddin, the cable will connect Pakistan with the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The 2Africa submarine internet cable spans 45,000 kilometers and includes 46 landing stations across 33 countries.
Aamiruddin further stated that the 2Africa submarine cable will be a significant milestone for Digital Pakistan, contributing to the growth of internet content and increasing demand for internet cables.
