BMW K1600 GTL is a luxury tourer that is a successor to BMW K1200T and was launched in March 2011. It comes with a 1649cc engine, and it has electronic throttle control. It has a magnesium alloy subframe that reduces the bike’s weight and enhances bike control. The main difference between the GTL and models of K1600 is that the GTL is the more passenger-friendly and ultimate luxury bike for the family. The BMW K1600 GTL is redesigned for 2022 and offers changes like a 10.25-inches instrument cluster and navigation built into it. BMW USA has announced the 2023 K1600 GTL that begins its production in August 2022. 2023 BMW K1600 GTL the changes include: a keyless start, RDC real-time tire pressuring monitoring system, self-cancelling turn signals, and the Premium Package is added automatically in the K1600 GTL. The Premium Package offers a central lock system, LED auxiliary lights, gear shift assist, and engine protection bars. The engine specs of the latest BMW K1600 GTL are similar to the previous K1600 GTL and assist you in long and exclusive trips with your loved ones. The best thing is that you can customize your BMW K1600 GTL according to your needs with a list of optional equipment and accessories. The BMW has given two optional designs to inspire you LONG DISTANCE RUNNER and EXCLUSIVE, so you can tailor your GTL as you like.

Engine & Performance:

The BMW K1600 GTL has an air-cooled, 1649cc, inline-six engine that generates maximum power of 160 hp at 6750 RPM and torque of 132.7 lb-ft at 5250 RPM. The engine is linear and delivers a smooth ride. The engine maintains preternatural balance, and you can place your hand on the tank when the bike is at rest, and the throttle is twisted. There is barely a vibration on roads when the motor is reviving. The throttle response is smooth, and you can ride at high gears smoothly, as there is plenty of torque in action for you. The six-speed transmission is efficient, and power is delivered to rear wheels through a multi-disc and oil-filled clutch that runs the shaft, and the shaft is quick with a nicely-weighted clutch lever. You can also switch between manual switching gears. The steering feel is excellent and works more responsive at slower speeds and weightier at higher rates. The suspension system provides a consistent ride when heavy on the brakes as the suspension leaves some load through the bike’s headstock and isolates the steering duties. The bike’s handling is better than expected and responds quickly to all steering inputs, thus making it a perfect bike for your adventures. The brakes in BMW K1600 GTL work great, and the ABS applies brakes to both wheels when the rider presses the hand lever and applies brakes to the rear wheels only when the rider presses the foot pedal. It offers three ride modes: road, rain, and dynamic, and throttle response, traction control, and torque are adjusted in each mode accordingly. The BMW K1600 GTL delivers excellent performance and makes your adventure more memorable and thrilling.

Mileage & Top Speed:

The BMW K1600 GTL has a fuel tank capacity of 7 gallons, gets 39 miles per gallon (16-17 kmpL), and has an estimated range of 273 miles (440 km). It gives a top speed of 120 miles (194 kmph) per hour.

Design & Build Quality:

The BMW K1600 GTL has a streamlined and elegant design. The chrome-plated mirror cap and the wind deflectors help cruise with style. The comfort package adds a keyless ride, central locks, LED headlights, and an anti-theft alarm. The floor lighting illuminates the area under the bike to find a more suitable parking place. The chrome-plated mirror caps in GTL give a glossy appearance to the bike, and the wind deflectors provide more riding comfort. The original trim is replaced by a chrome-look trim that gives the bike a classy appearance. The latest BMW K1600 GTL is available in black storm metallic and gravity blue metallic exterior colours options. A 10.25-inches TFT display in BMW GT comes with various menus and is controlled through buttons. The BMW Audio System 2.0 comes with Bluetooth connectivity and SiriusXM. The navigation system is built into K1600 GTL and configurable on TFT screens, and the system relies on mobile phones for connectivity. The bike’s build quality is excellent, and its price is justified because of its high-end technology and excellent build quality.
