General Motors introduced their subcompact crossover SUV Buick Encore in 2012, and its 1st generation ruled from 2012 to 2019 in China. The 2nd generation Buick Encore launched in 2020 in China, and it is available in a 1.0-liter engine and 1.3-liter engine choice. The 2nd generation Buick Encore is not exported to the North American market, and North America continues to sell Buick Encore’s 1st generation. Buick Encore GX in Mexico replaces it. The 2022 version of Buick Encore is available in both the original Buick Encore and the Buick Encore GX in China. The Buick Encore GX is larger and more luxurious than the original Buick Encore. It is designed specifically for the Chinese market under the Chinese emission standards. Trims & Variants:
The Buick Encore GX is available in four trim levels in China that are 20T Comfort, 20T Luxury, 20T Flagship, and 20T Four-wheel-all round flagship. The powertrain in all the variants is similar, and they differ in various features. The 20T Comfort is the entry-level trim 6-way manual adjustment for the driver’s seat, fabric upholstery, LED daytime running lights, electric sunroof, and electronic power steering. The 20T Luxury trim adds a high gloss chrome door handle, rear exhaust pipe with chrome strip, 4-way adjustment in the multifunction steering wheel, a rear-seat armrest, premium suede upholstery, and intelligent assisted driving features. The 20T Flagship trim adds in-vehicle App interconnection software, built-in navigation, automatic headlight switching, panoramic sunroof, heated front seats, premium leather upholstery, and the latest safety features. The 20T Four-wheel-all round Flagship trim adds all features of Flagship trim except that it comes with a four-wheel-drive system.

The Buick Encore is available in a 1.0-liter engine and a 1.3-liter engine. The 1.0-liter, 3-cylinder engine generates 123 Horsepower. The Buick Encore GX is available in a 1.3-liter engine that produces 121 kW (162 Horsepower) of power at 5600 RPM and 240 Nm of torque at 1500 RPM to 4000 RPM. All the variants of Buick Encore GX offer a continuously-varying automatic transmission except the four-wheel-all round Flagship, and it provides a nine-speed HYDRA-MATIC transmission.

The exterior of Buick Encore is eye-catching, and smooth contours run all over the car. The front and rear fascias have chrome accents, while the deep-tinted windows make for a stealthy entrance.
