2022 GAC GS4 (2nd Generation Facelifted)
The GS4 was introduced by GAC Group in 2015 globally, and the sub-brand Trumpchi launched it exclusively in China. It is a five-door compact crossover SUV with a front-engine and front-wheel-drive. GAC GS4’s second generation was introduced in 2019, and a hybrid version of it in 2020. The GAC Motors Phillippine is planning to launch an all-new version of GAC GS4 for the year 2022, and they are working on GO AND CHANGE CAMPAIGN, in which the company is trying to improve its technology craftsmanship. The all-new 2022 GS4 will have some fascia changes with a more prominent grille and sportier bumper, and some changes in the cabin will also be introduced. It has a new dashboard design and improved material quality from the previous model. The engine choices are petrol and a hybrid powertrain, while both the powertrains have a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2022 GAC GS4 has arrived in Chinese GAC stores with the name Trumpchi GS4. The citizens clicked the photos of the 2022 GAC Trumpchi GS4 in local 4S shops, and it went on sale on the 21st of September, 2021. It is the annual facelift version of the current version, and a triangular plaque-filled grille has been added to enhance the freshness. At the same time, irregular headlights and segmented air intakes have also been added.
Trims & Variants:
The 2021 version of GAC GS4 Trumpchi is available in 11 variants in China, and it includes the single displacement option of 1.5 liters while 3-transmission options. It offers seven-speed dual-clutch transmission, six-speed manual transmission, and six-speed automatic transmission. Other than this, a hybrid powertrain is also available. The PHEV version combines the 1.5 liters engine with a 174hp electric motor. The 2022 GAC Trumpchi GS4 will also offer similar variant options.
Engine & Power:
The GAC GSS4 Trumpchi has a 1495cc, 1.5 liters engine that produces a maximum of 169hp of power at 5000 RPM and a torque of 265 Nm at 1450 RPM to 4250 RPM. It offers front-wheel-drive technology and comes with six-speed manual, dual-clutch, or six-speed automatic transmission. The hybrid powertrain gets its power from a 1.5 liters engine and an electric motor run by a battery pack. The electric motor produces a power of 174 hp at 5000 RPM and a torque of 300 Nm at 4000 RPM. It offers a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The dual continuously variable valve timing mechanism introduced in GAC GS4 helps to facilitate the harmonious integration of more torque and less fuel consumption. The GAC GS4 comes with L-arm Macpherson suspension at the front, and there is external connection technology on the front dampers that absorb all the external shocks from the road and result in a comfortable ride. The Multi-Link independent suspension at the rear provides dynamic balance and improves the ride’s comfort and the car’s maneuverability. The variable displacement pump reduces excess energy loss of the engine and reduces fuel consumption by two percent. It consumes approximately 6 to 7 liters of fuel per 100 kilometers driven with a fuel tank capacity of 55 liters. The electric range of hybrid GAC GS4 is claimed to be at sixty-one kilometers. It may give you a maximum speed of up to 165 kilometers per hour. It can accelerate from zero to 100 kilometers per hour in 9.67 seconds.
Exterior Design & Features:
The 2022 GAC Trumpchi GS4 comes with a facelift with a new air intake grille style, and the triangular plaque-filled grille in the center is combined with two irregular headlights and a segmented air intake. The rear end of the car has a silver double-sided slot which is replaced by the double exhausts. It has also got the new bumper design, and the luminous bridge in the previous model has been disappeared in the new one. It still has a floating roof design, and the overall design of the car emphasizes the muscularity of the compact SUV. It comes with eighteen-inch aluminum-alloy wheels that add sportiness to its looks.
Interior Design & Features:
The inside of the GAC GS4 is redesigned with uneven lines that create a visual crease of light, and a new dashboard design has 2-large LCD screens. The dashboard is covered in leatherette surfaces, and new buttons are introduced on the steering wheel. The leather-covered seats come with three-way temperature control and six-way power adjustments to give you a luxurious feel. The virtual cockpit has a revised design, but it is super-sensing and interactive, and a 12.3 inches screen shows the entire vehicle’s information on the cockpit. The other screen is 8 inches in size and gives infotainment, and it has an ADIGO 4.0 multimedia system installed in it that is compatible with all smartphones. The touch screen also shows navigation complemented by a dynamic auxiliary line. The dimensions of the latest GS4 are similar to the previous model, so the passenger space is the same, but it is enough to accommodate five adults comfortably. You will get auto rain-sensing wipers that start and stop automatically on rainfalls, and the power sunroof brightens up the cabin. The adaptive front-lighting system adjusts the light height and angle according to the direction of turning and its speed to make driving safe by increasing nighttime visibility by thirty-five percent.
