The Hyundai Sonata is a popular midsize sedan produced by Hyundai, a South Korean automaker. The Sonata is known for its stylish design, comfort, and a range of features. It competes in the same segment as other midsize sedans like the Toyota Camry, Honda Accord, and Nissan Altima. The Hyundai Sonata Hybrid is a hybrid version of the popular Hyundai Sonata sedan. It combines a gasoline engine with an electric motor and a battery to improve fuel efficiency and reduce emissions. The Sonata Hybrid offers a more environmentally friendly and economical option compared to the standard gasoline-powered Sonata. Hyundai has updated the Sonata by giving a facelift for 2024 to make it more appealing and to look fresher in the competition. They changed the unique daytime running lights that used to run alongside the hood and have put in new ones that stretch across the whole front bumper. They’ve also changed the back bumper cover and the lights at the back, but the more changes are inside the car. They’ve added two large 12.3-inch touchscreens for the infotainment system, and both are on a single curved mount. The steering wheel has a new design. Hyundai in South Korea gave us a sneak peek, and now the U.S. branch of Hyundai has shared more information and many pictures of the new 2024 Sonata. The 2024 Hyundai Sonata will be available in eight variants, among which 3-variants will offer a hybrid powertrain. These include Blue Hybrid, SEL Hybrid, and Limited Hybrid.

Engine & Power:

The latest eighth generation facelifted Sonata Hybrid still uses the same engine setup as last year: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine that works with a 51-kW electric motor. These should give you a total of 192 horsepower altogether. The power goes to the front wheels through working with a six-speed automatic transmission. It takes around 8.0 seconds to accelerate from 0 to 60 miles per hour. The news for 2024 is that they’ve added paddle shifters on the steering wheel and a mode for regenerative braking.

Performance & Drive:
