Neta Auto, a subsidiary of Hozon Auto, a Chinese EV manufacturer, has introduced the Neta L SUV to the Chinese market. Currently, the Neta L is only available in extended-range electric vehicle (EREV) models, with battery electric (BEV) options slated for release later this year.
The Neta L EREV comes in four versions, positioned as a medium-sized SUV and constructed on Neta’s Shanhai Platform 2.0. It measures 4,770/1,900/1,660 mm with a wheelbase of 2,810 mm and boasts a drag coefficient of 0.258Cd.
Powered by a 1.5L four-cylinder engine (91hp/ 231Nm) acting as a range extender, along with a 40.27 kWh LFP battery pack, the Neta L offers a CLTC battery range of up to 310 kilometers. With a full tank and battery, it provides a combined CLTC driving range of 1,300 km. Neta claims it can charge from 30% to 80% in less than 19 minutes, making it the world’s fastest-charging EREV.
Internally, the Neta L features a large dual 15.6-inch central control screen, with an eye-catching front-passenger entertainment screen powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. Additionally, the LCD instrument panel sits behind the flat-bottomed multi-function steering wheel. The entertainment system includes a built-in Neta Sky Theater audio and video setup with 16 in-car speakers. The cockpit supports various modes, including nap mode, one-touch SPA mode, camping mode, outdoor viewing mode, karaoke mode, and pet mode.
Moreover, the cockpit offers a 6.6L capacity refrigerator, with temperature adjustments available both physically on the screen and remotely via voice commands or mobile apps. Rear passengers can access folding tray tables from the back of the front seats. Furthermore, the seats provide 8-point massage functionality and one-touch switching to zero gravity.
Talking about safety, the Neta L is equipped with five millimeter-wave radars, a front-view camera, four surround-view (360) cameras, 12 ultrasonic radars, and a Driver Monitoring system camera. These features enable Neta AD advanced driving assistance functions such as parking assistance, adaptive cruise control, and lane centering assist.
The Neta L EREV is offered in four variants priced at 129,900 yuan ($17,900), 136,900 yuan ($18,900), 149,900 yuan ($20,700), and 159,900 yuan ($22,000) respectively.
