Geely is among the largest automakers in China, over the last five years Geely is growing tremendously with an annual rate of 30% and has now become the top-selling Chinese brand. Geely investing in multiple technologies like recently it launched a X-Chimera 25 a Drone with Towing Capacity of 6KG.

under it purchased company Terrafugia while in 2018 Geely was announced to purchase Volvo that completed in 2020 as well, now Geely is the rising Chinese privately-owned automaker and giant around the world.

Autonomous vehicles that are the next target of about every automaker in the world because with autonomous vehicles they can earn billion in Ride-hailing and sharing services like Uber and Lyft while for the upcoming future of autonomous transport Mobileye has earned the name for qualitative services and technology provider. Many of the biggest automakers like BMW, Audi, Volkswagen, Honda, Nissan and General Motors’ already taking benefits from its services and technology. Mobileye is an Israel based company that was purchased by intel in 2017 for 15.3 $ billion. Mobileye was also providing driving Assistant-Autopilot hardware to Tesla, but the relationship between them discontinued.

Now in 2020 Geely made a deal with Mobileye (the services and technology provider for autonomous vehicles) to provide computer vision technology for its upcoming premium electric vehicle called Zero Concept.

According to intel;

Mobileye and Geely auto have signed a long term high volume agreement that will help the Geely zero concept electric vehicle to equip with computer vision technology of mobileye for providing advance driving assistance.

Amnon ShashuaCEO of Mobileye said;

Mobileye will be responsible for the full solution stack, including hardware and software, driving policy and control.”

He added “it also marks the first time that an OEM has publicly noted Mobileye’s plan to provide over-the-air updates to the system after deployment. While this capacity has always been in our repertoire, Geely and Mobileye want to assure customers that we can easily scale their driving-assistance features and keep everything up to date across the car’s lifetime.”

Mobileye is the company that didn’t develop its vehicles, but only provide advance driver assistance system to other automakers which provide warnings for collision prevention, line changing, blind-spot monitoring etc, like present in Tesla’s vehicles.
