Audi e-Tron has the privilege to be known as Audi’s first fully electric mid-size SUV which was revealed in 2015 at the Frankfurt Motor show. E-Tron was officially launched in May 2019 and built on the MLB platform that gives its a body style of a typical SUV, and it comes in a four-wheel-drive option. Etron is Upgraded with an updated battery pack that gives more driving range, the state of an art interior cabin, luxurious features, and a remarkable driving experience. Trims & Versions:

2020 Audi E-Tron is available in four trim levels that include Premium plus, premium plus Sportback, prestige trim, and prestige Sportback trim. When comparing all four versions the prestige trim is considered to be the best because it features a massaging function at the front seat, a head-up display, leather-covered seats, steering wheel, power doors, and an adaptive cruise control feature. The cold weather package can now provide you with heated rear seats and heated washer jets of windshield wipers. All-wheel drive option is standard in all trims, but they differ in driving performance by giving different acceleration speeds.  

Engine & Powertrain:

Audi e-Tron is equipped with two electric motors; one is present on the front axle and 2nd located on the rear axles. The rear electric motor generates more power than the front while both motors are charged by 95 kWh battery packs. The battery can be charged up to eighty percent in just thirty minutes by DC fast chargers while a home charging facility is also available that lets you charge the battery by 11 kW chargers in about 8.4 hours. The Quattro all-wheel-drive electric motors generate a maximum power of 402 hp and torque of 490 pounds-feet. The transmission option for e-Tron is a single-speed transmission with a fixed ratio. it also has two options for battery packs that are either 55 Quattro 95 kWh lithium-ion battery or 50 Quattro 71 kWh lithium-ion battery.

Performance & Drive:

The smooth ride quality of E-Tron asserts its luxury pretences that give you a variety of driving modes to be selected according to your needs. Some of the driving modes are off-road driving modes which lets you drive the car on uneven and rough surfaces. The efficient driving mode lets you drive the vehicle with a battery-saving option, and the dynamic driving mode gives you a more vivid driving experience. The transmission of e-Tron is quite strange and smooth at the same time with a new gear lever operated by your thumb, and you can swing it to move forward or reverse. The acceleration of the e-Tron is smooth that feels alert off the line even on motorways. The 55 Quattro-e-Tron accelerates from zero to sixty miles per hour in 5.7 seconds with a top speed of 124 miles per hour, and the 50 Quattro e-Tron takes 6.8 seconds to speed up from zero to sixty miles per hour with a top speed of 118 miles per hour. It offers a towing capacity of 4000 pounds and talking about the driving range of E-Tron it is important to highlight that the present version has updated with an increased driving range, that gives a mileage of 75 miles per gallon while the previous model of e-Tron gives a mileage of 67 miles per gallon. The braking system of E-Tron is also efficient that responds quickly when the driver pushes the pedal. This quick response is all due to the electrohydraulic actuation concept. Handling of e-Tron is also made smooth and stable with its precise steering wheel control, and lower height ride improves the range by increasing aerodynamics as well as makes the ride more comfortable on longer routes.

Exterior Design & Features:

The aerodynamic design of E-Tron with a drag coefficient of 0.30 helps you drive smoothly through windy roads. The front end is attractive with horizontal LED headlights, and Audi’s mono is stamped in between. On the other hand, the rear end features equally pretty horizontal tail lights that run all along to create a harmonious look, and the three-dimensional design of tail lights gives it a sculpted appearance. Interior Design & Features:

The interior of the Audi E-Tron is spacious and made up of high-quality accents that give a modern SUV feeling. It has pleasant headroom and legroom for all the four passengers sitting in it. It features 660 liters of boot space that is enough to carry a decent amount of luggage for a holiday. The dashboard features multiple screens on it including the Virtual Cockpit gauge cluster for Audi showing information for driver’s assistance, and two touch screens mounted in the center of the dashboard, one is 10.1 inches large located on the top, and another 8.8 inches present below. The upper display screen is wired with Olufsen audio system and also features navigation, Apple Car plays along with Android Auto compatibility while the smaller screen gives information about climate control. The cabin also features a Wi-fi hotspot, wireless charging option, ventilated front seats, massage seats on the front, heated rear seats, and leather upholstery. 

Safety & Features:

Audi E-Tron has been given five stars ratings by NHTSA in crash tests but has not been tested yet by Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. It has loaded with up-to-date safety features some of which include adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning alarm, automatic emergency brakes, blind spot detection system, lane departure warning alarm, and rear cross-traffic alert alarm
