The 2nd-generation of Toyota Fortuner was launched in 2015 in Australia and Thailand, and it hit the Pakistani markets in 2016. The Diesel-Sigma-4 version was added to the lineup in 2017, and a Fortuner G petrol version also came up in 2020. Toyota Indus has now released a facelift version of Fortuner. The all-new Toyota Fortuner was expected to hit the markets in May or June, and the company fulfilled its promise to launch it in May 2021. The new Toyota Fortuner has a restyled front grille and advanced LED headlights. The alloy wheels are also redesigned, and there is a silver skid plate on the front. The base variant has some minor changes that distinguish it from the higher variant. Trims & Variants:
It is available in three trim levels that include Fortuner Sigma4 (4×4 Hi), Fortuner V (4X2 Hi), and Fortuner G (4X2 STD). The Sigma variant offers a four-wheel-drive feature while both other trims offer a front-wheel-drive feature. The Sigma version has a diesel-powered engine, while both of the others have a petrol-powered engine. The Sigma variant offers powered-back doors, a rear differential lock, and an engine oil leveling warning, while all other features are similar to the other trims. The standard features include 6 speakers, 8.95 inches screen, a rear camera, a cool and hot box, ABS, SRS airbags, and Vehicle Stability Control.

The Fortuner Sigma4 (4X4 Hi) gets its power from a 2755cc, 4-cylinders, INLINE common-rail diesel engine that generates maximum power of 130 hp at 3400 RPM and a maximum torque of 450 Nm @ 1600 to 2400 RPM. The Fortuner V (4X2 HI) trim gets its power from a 2694 cc, 4-cylinders, INLINE, petrol engine that produces a maximum of 122 hp power at 5200 RPM and a maximum of 245 Nm at 4000 RPM. The powertrain of Fortuner G (4X2 STD) is similar to Fortuner V (4X2 Hi). The transmission of all the trims is 6-speed sequential with paddle shifters.
