Alfa Romeo Stelvio Ti Lusso 2018
This premium mid size SUV is really a good looking thing that has all the capabilities for comfort, power and performance. Alfa Romeo Stelvio has three different trims including base model, sport and Lusso while Ti Lusso can be considered as luxurious and comfortable trim among these. If you prefer a vehicle that gives you more fun to drive experience than you must go for it and if you prefer more luxurious interior with premium quality material than you can go for other choices.
Design dynamics of Alfa Romeo Stelvio Lusso 2018:
This is a sporty looking vehicle that has nice looking exterior and average interior but overall a great combination of styling and performance.
Exterior Dynamics:
It has nice and aggressive front with Alfa Romeo triangular grill having metal trim on it, nice big headlamps but not LED and has no day time running lights. 19 inch alloy wheels with nice cuttings make it feels little more sporty and attractive while sloppy roofline makes it aerodynamic.
Interior Dynamics:
Lusso is always little more luxurious and less sporty from inside, its seats are pretty good comfortable and attractive but not sporty as sport trim. Steering wheel is new and thin that is nice and beautiful and has push button start on it, big pedal shifters are missing and not available in Lusso trim but only in sport trim. Gauges are same as guilia those are simple and great, 8.8 inch display embed in the dashboard having wide screen and high resolution. Unfortunately there are many things missing in 8.8” display, 1st : it is not a touch screen that makes it little bit complicated to use, 2nd Navigation display is not so good, 3rd Apple car play and android auto is missing, pretty decent infotainment but not best out there. Overall interior is very simplified and basic, interior design made to looks good with wood looking plastic trim but use of wood could make it much better. Plastic has soft feeling and not so hard and cheap but downgrades the interior look little bit. There is not extra thousand dollars leather package that is why it can be said; it is one step behind from the competitors and is not luxurious of all.
Engine and Power:
It has 2.0 liter turbo charged engine that produces 280 horse power and 414@2000nm of torque. One thing that you might not feel good is the fuel economy that is 22 miles per gallon in city and 28 miles per gallon on highway but fuel economy is usually not good in most of the SUV’s.
Performance:
It gives you the best driving experience of all; it is really a nice thing to drive especially on daily basis. Ride quality of Alfa Romeo Stelvio is remarkably smooth and soft which makes it very comfortable, refined and luxurious better than lot of sporty and luxurious SUV’s, it gives great handling on corners and have very responsive steering wheel. Switching to dynamic mode makes it really quick by increasing throttle response; it has top speed of 144 miles per hour while it takes only 5.4 seconds to accelerate 0-60 miles per hour which is best in the class.
Comfort:
Seats are not sporty but all are comfortable, rear seats have enough head and leg room for sitting comfortably. Center arm rest on front and rear are leather padded and gives soft feeling, air vents are available separately for rear seat passengers.
Safety:
Safety ratings are not available currently but it has all the safety stuff, all wheel drive is standard on all trims which distributes the power equally between front and rear wheels and according to need it can also transfer all the power to rear or front wheels, all the safety features can be checked in features section.
Conclusion:
Best performance oriented and fun to drive vehicle, interior requires updates with quality and premium materials, visibility in the vehicle is little less that can be increased by reducing the thickness of pillars. Infotainment screen need upgrade with latest software and with android and apple car play support.
