The first generation of BMW X1 debuted in 2009 as a rear-wheel-drive subcompact luxury SUV and 2nd generation of it was introduced in 2015. It is built on the UKL2 platform and is available in both front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options. The 2022 version of the BMW X1 is expected to release in December 2021 or at the beginning of 2022. It will be a redesigned variant, offering a front-wheel-drive option as a standard in all trim levels and an all-wheel-drive as an optional feature. The 2022 model might be the 3rd generation of the BMW X1, and it is seen tested on the roads of the UK. The BMW X1 available in the market is the 2021 model, and it is unchanged from the previous model other than larger infotainment and refreshed front fascia; no big changes have been made in the 2021 BMW X1. The 2021 BMW X1 is ranked number two among other subcompact luxury SUVs, and we are hoping for new improvements in the upcoming model. BMW X1 was also introduced to Pakistani automobile markets by Dewan Motors in 2016, and the latest model is also imported to Pakistan. The price of the BMW X1 is competitive compared to other luxury SUVs available in Pakistan.
