Toyota Land Cruiser Prado 250 Launches in Pakistan

The all-new Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, dubbed Prado 250, has been launched in Pakistan by Indus Motor Company (IMC). Available as a CBU import, this SUV comes in two variants— a 2.7L petrol and a 2.8L diesel.

Exterior Highlights: Modern Design and Advanced Lighting

Exterior highlights include auto-leveling LED headlamps, LED fog lamps, and LED DRLs. LED rear combination lamps and LED license plate lamp add to its modern appeal. For the top-spec diesel variant, there are auto retract side mirrors with memory, lamp, and camera function, along with a chromic front grille. Time-adjusted windshield wipers and chrome garnishing further enhance its aesthetics.

Power and Performance: Engine Options Under the Hood

Under the hood, the engine options mirror those available in the Japanese market. The 2.8L 1GD-FTV turbodiesel generates 203 hp of power and 500 Nm of torque, mated to an 8-speed automatic gearbox. Meanwhile, the 2.7L 2TR-FE petrol engine produces 162 hp with 246 Nm, paired with a 6-speed automatic transmission.

Interior Comfort: Features for Enhanced Comfort

Interior features include 8-way driver/ 4-way front passenger seat adjustment (6-way/4-way for the petrol variant). The diesel variant offers multi-way peripheral camera monitoring, dual-zone auto climate control, and auto AC for the rear row. Additionally, leather seats with ventilation & heating function, integrated sports driving mode with 5 variations, and a 12-inch audio system add to the comfort and convenience.

Pricing: Cost Breakdown in the Pakistani Market

The price of the all-new Prado in Pakistan is Rs 66,600,000 for the 2.7L Petrol variant, while the top-spec Diesel variant is available for Rs 75,550,000.

Global Debut and Market Adaptation: Evolution of the Prado Model

Last year, the latest Prado model made its debut in the North American markets and was recently introduced in Japan. However, in Japan, the name Prado was omitted, making it simply a Land Cruiser 250. For the Pakistani market, though, the Prado moniker will continue to be used, albeit suffixed with 250.
