The tenth-generation Honda Civic has been launched with a new facelift which was exhibited at the ceremony took place on 9th April 2019 at Royal Palm Club Lahore by Honda Atlas and then it was made viral on social media with a campaign of ‘better buckle up’ to create enthusiasm among customers. Honda Atlas has also uploaded a teaser video of the facelift of Honda Civic 2019 on its Facebook page this month. The tenth generation of Honda Civic was already launched with a facelift in America and Thailand, however, it will be launched soon in China too. It is available in four variants worldwide including LX, EX, EX-L, and EX-T while only two variants are available in Pakistan including 1.8 litres and 1.8 litres VTI oriel. Advance booking for the 2019 redesigned Civic has already been started by the dealers with one million Pakistani rupees advance for Honda Civic Turbo and 1.2 million Pakistani rupees advance for Honda Civic 1.8 i-VTEC automatic transmission. The 2019-2021 Civic is a front-engine car with a front-wheel drive classified as a subcompact sedan.
The new facelift has newly designed LED headlights and tail lights with LED fog lights and a chrome striped grille on the front. It offers excellent fuel economy with revamped safety features for handling the car making it a better option in a subcompact sedan. So we have to make a selection between two engines including 1.5 litres DOHC turbocharged 1498cc sixteen valve engine and 1.8 litres 1799cc SOHC sixteen valve engine. The 1.5 litres DOHC engine generates the horsepower of 170bhp at 5500rpm and torque of 220Nm at 4500-5500rpm while the 1.8 litres SOHC engine generates a horsepower of 138 bhp at 6500rpm and torque of 169Nm at 4300rpm. The new feature in the designing other than LED headlights and fog lights will the Shark Fit Antenna in the Civic. The front will have chrome bumpers with a black back strip and fog lights. The new design is more aggressive with sleek integrated daytime running lights. The front grille is trapezoid in shape with chrome accents integrated into it along with triple air intakes. How it can be made even better?
It can be made even better by improving the heavy-handed styling and reducing the curb weight for a more perfect handling of the car. The immediate stopping power is not so efficient in the new model Civic while the infotainment can be made better by introducing more advanced features and by improving the comfort and convenience in the cabin and the back seats can be made more spacious by increasing headroom and legroom for heightened persons. The exterior design should also be made a little unique other than just changing the looks with redesigned headlights and tail lights
