Proton launched its core X70 model after its partnership with Greely automobile makers and later launched its PIES, four models, Persona, Iris, Exora, and Saga that contribute to half of the total sales of the company in 2019 and all these new models let the Proton achieve its target sales to get a total market share of 18.1 percent in June 2019 (Asian Markets). Proton X70 managed to get a huge customer demand after a successful sale of 15,175 vehicles within the first six months of 2019. Now Proton has also launched the all-new Proton X70 in Pakistan and Proton X50 will also be introduced later.
The X70 CKD was scheduled to be launched in Pakistan in the mid of 2020 with the local assembling of the vehicles but due to covid, it was delayed and launched in 2021 and available was available to customers at a very affordable price in 2021 and is equipped with more powerful and latest features. The scheduled launch of Proton X70 CKD was already been taken place with the official launch of this beautiful species in Malaysia because Earlier Proton X70 was gifted by Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohammed to Prime Minister of Pakistan Imran Khan at a ceremony held on March 22, 2019, where the X70 was officially received by Financial Advisor of Pakistan on 19th December 2019. Proton also planned to set up assembly plants in Pakistan in association with the Al-Haj automobile company of Pakistan to make the availability of every Proton vehicle easy for the public fulfilled in 2022 when the first locally assembled proton x70 gets off the assembly lines.

Transmission & Engine for Pakistan Market:
Pakistani Version of Proton X70 is powered by a 1.5 L three-cylinder Turbo Charged engine which according to details is more powerful than the naturally aspirated engine found in Sportage. The Turbo Charged engine produces 176 Horsepower @ 255nm of torque and it is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. The Fuel Economy of the Proton X70 SUV is 7 liters per hundred kilometers. By using the Turbo engine it can reach up to a speed of 205 km/h.
Engine, Transmission, & Performance Internationally:
The locally assembled Chinese vehicle CKD in Malaysia has a similar powertrain as the previous Proton X70 but it does get some updates in its performance. Proton X70 CKD is powered by 1.8 liter four-cylinder turbocharged engine that produces a power of 184 PS at 5500 rpm and torque of 300 Nm at 5500 rpm.
It offers you a seven-speed automatic transmission delivering you a more refined driving experience as compared to the previous torque converter unit in the previous model. One of the drawbacks seen in the Proton X70 was its heavyweight that penalizes the fuel economy but the Proton X70 is much lighter in weight with an efficient seven-speed DCT as compared to the older six-speed torque converter and all these factors contribute to improving the fuel economy of Proton X70 CKD giving you a mileage of 100 kilometers with a consumption of 7.6 liters of fuel and a fuel tank capacity of sixty liters. This fuel economy is much better and improved as compared to its two of the biggest competitors; the Honda CR-V and Mazda CX-5.
Exterior Design & Features:
The actual design and looks of the Proton X70 have not been changed a lot but it received some identical twinning with Greely Boyue but some minor facelift changes have been introduced in it. X70 CKD has a newly designed logo encrypted on the chrome-accented grille on the front so the previous X70 is differentiated from the all-new X70 CKD Greely model. This new signature logo is also stamped on the steering wheel and wheel caps. The Exterior of the Proton X70 SUV is available in 5 Different colors including; Snow white, Armour silver, Quartz Black, Space Grey, and Ruby Red.
The overall design is not changed a lot with the same dimensions as X70 and similar features like automatic headlamps, front fog lights, panoramic sunroof, automatic rain-sensing wipers, front welcome lamps, bold sporty wheels, and large-sized rear combination lamps. Another new feature added to Proton X70 CKD is the foot sensor power tailgate that automatically opens the tailgate when you wave your foot under the bumper.
Interior Design & Features:
The cabin of the Proton X70 is known for its comfort and deluxe looks. It offers a large space inside to accommodate five adults easily providing them with enough legroom and headroom and an extra comfort level is added by the Napa leather-covered seats adding luxury and relaxation while the front seats are power controlled and provided with heating technology.
It received a new element that is the new logo on its steering wheel and the cabin is equipped with many other latest features that include dual-zone climate control, an air purifier, seven inches instrument gauge screen, eight inches infotainment screen, navigation, nine speakers, six USB ports, dedicated smartphone software, and online music streaming.
