2024 Suzuki Alto Price in Pakistan

Suzuki Alto made its entry into Pakistani automobile markets in 1979 and launched under different names like Suzuki 800 and Suzuki FX. It facelifted from time to time, and finally, the eighth generation of Alto officially debuted in 2014. It gets the facelift and modifications in 2019 and is relaunched in 2020. The eighth generation of Suzuki Alto replaced the national car of our country Mehran in 2019. The 8th generation of Alto is currently available in the Pakistani market with many new standard features. The price for the 8th generation of Suzuki Alto is increasing every year since the day it is launched, and now, it is the cheapest car available at Suzuki showrooms but not in Pakistan. Pak Suzuki is also planning to launch the 9th generation of Alto in Pakistan in the coming years. Reportedly Pak Suzuki is assembling the 9th generation of Alto, and we might be seeing it on roads near October 2023. The all-new generation of Suzuki Alto might be coming with a 3-cylinder 660cc R60D engine, which will produce 48 hp horsepower and 69 Nm torque. Suzuki is also planning to release the sportier version of the Alto that will have a large-sized bore and longer stroke for better performance of the car. Till then, we have to stick to the eighth-generation Alto available at showrooms, and we will be discussing its features in detail.

Trims & Variants:

Currently, three trims of Suzuki are available in the market. These include Alto VX, VXR, and VXL. Alto VX features Am/Fm radio, child lock, cupholders, climate control, defogger, defroster, central locking, power door locks, keyless entry, and remote boot. Alto VXR upgraded with an air conditioner, DVD player, keyless entry, immobilizer, two airbags, power steering, power door locks, and windows. The Alto VXL is the most expensive variant of the Alto and has ABS brakes, power steering, two airbags, and all the other features provided with entry-level trim. VXR AGS Trimmed was introduced in 2022.

Engine & Power:

All the Versions of Alto are powered by a 658 CC, DOHC 12-valve, three-cylinder petrol engine that produces 29 Horsepower at 6500 RPM and torque of 56 Nm at 4000 RPM. The suspension and brakes are the same as typical Suzuki vehicles, and the two-wheel-drive feature is standard in all the trims. The VX and VXR trims offer a five-speed manual transmission, while on the other hand, the VXL trim offers an Auto Gear Shift transmission.

Performance & Drive:

The engine of the Suzuki Alto is improved to go with everyday life. The balanced power-to-weight ratio of Alto and its aerodynamic shape give you a delightful driving performance. The difference between locally assembled Alto and imported units of Alto is the zero meter R-series with an overall weight reduction engine that is available in locally Assembled Alto and gives high fuel efficiency. The Problem with the imported Alto is that it comes with tampered mileage and lower ground clearance (w.r.t Local), and the spare parts of the imported Alto are also expensive. The higher-end trim also comes with an Anti-lock Braking system that provides stability and assistance to the drivers in applying brakes and prevents tires from locking up in emergencies. It offers you both manual and automatic transmissions. The manual transmission works better with efficient acceleration, while the automatic transmission is sluggish and slow when you press the throttle. The suspension is improved, which gives a smooth ride even at low speeds, but you may feel a little body roll around corners. The handling of the vehicle is not very impressive as the steering feedback is also just average. As a whole, Alto is easy to drive because of its small size and light steering, which means you can park and drive the car in tight spaces with more ease. It gives you a maximum speed of 140 kilometers per hour. The fuel efficiency of the Suzuki Alto is impressive, and it is one of the reasons for its good sales. Fuel economy: The automatic and manual transmission gives you a mileage of 16 kilometers per hour in the city and 18 kilometers per hour on highways. The upcoming 9th generation Alto will have better mileage, which will be between eighteen to twenty kilometers per Liter.

Exterior Design & Features:

The 8th generation of Alto currently selling in Pakistan features an aerodynamic-design, and unique contour lines to give Alto a vibrant look. The front end is similar to the previous models, and the central grille is as small in size as before. The headlight design is also similar to before, and the option of colored-door mirrors is available in VXL trim. The rear end is as attractive as the front end, while the rear door dominates the whole presence of the backside of the vehicle. The taillights mounted in the rear bumper are small but don’t look ridiculous. All the trims are equipped with thirteen inches steel wheels that come with steel caps. 

Interior Design & Features:

The interior of the Suzuki Alto comes with enhanced comfort and convenience that makes your daily traveling experience great. The fabric-covered exquisite seats give the interior an elegant feeling with perfectly harmonizes with the overall cabin. The steering wheel design is also not bad, enhancing the overall look inside while talking about the space it is comparatively a spacious car compared to the old Mehran. The other goodies provided are drink holders and more boot space for carrying luggage that can be increased further by folding the rear seats. The cabin has designed for maximum comfort, and passengers can relax during the journeys with enhanced interior space. There is also a touchscreen mounted on the dashboard panel of VXL-trim that comes with Bluetooth connectivity, an Auxiliary cable, USB port options, and give-you infotainment. Some of the other features offered by the higher-end trims are air conditioning, heating, a defroster, climate control, a defogger, two speakers, keyless entry, power steering, power door locks, power windows, and central locking.

Safety & Features:

The new Suzuki Alto now comes with an Anti-Lock Braking System, Electronic Brake Force Distribution, security alarm, and immobilizer that makes your journey even safer than before. Two SRS airbags are now part of higher trims to reduce the impact of injuries (but are still missing in the base variant), together with seat belt protection in accidents.

Verdict:

Many new rivals for Suzuki small cars have made their entry into Pakistani automobile markets like United Alpha, prince Pearl, and Kia Picanto. Suzuki Alto is the entry-level car in our country, and the demand for Alto always remains on the top due to its easy and cheap availability of spare parts and good resale value. The entry of new competitors also demands the launch of the new generation of Suzuki Alto in the market, which will have more features. The new 9th generation of Alto needs to be launched in Pakistan by the company until we have to go with the present Alto.
