The owner of four-stroke auto-rickshaws Sazgar has been awarded greenfield status under automobile policy of 2016 to 2021 in 2018 to have the legal authority to start assembling and manufacturing their vehicles in Pakistan in collaboration with Beijing Automotive Industry Company BAIC and as stated by the secretary of the company this project will be accomplished till June 30, 2019, and the assembly plant will manufacture twenty-four thousand vehicles yearly.
BAIC D20 is one of the vehicles scheduled to be launched this year and spotted at DEMLAHORIGUYS while a proper display of BAIC D20 was done at the Pakistani Auto Show 2020 took place at Expo Center, Lahore. BAIC has introduced two other models at PAPS 2020 that are BAIC Senova X25 and BAIC BJ40L and BAIC Senova D20 are the most affordable among all other BAIC vehicles. BAIC D20 is present in manual and continuously varying automatic transmission but it is not confirmed which one will be available in Pakistan and how many variants are going to be released in our country. The exact date of its launch has not been confirmed yet but it is expected to be available for booking till mid of this year and give a tough competition to the new vehicles of Hyundai Nishat which are also showcased at PAPS.

Two Variants of BAIC D20 are available in Pakistan Comfort 4AT & Comfort 5 MT while some of the Major Differences among the versions are below;

Globally: BAIC D20 gives the option of five trim levels that include BAIC D20 Hatch 1.3 Comfort, BAIC D20 Hatchback 1.5 liters Comfort, BAIC D20 Hatchback 1.5 liters Fashion Manual, BAIC D20 Hatchback 1.5 liters Fashion Auto and BAIC D20 Sedan 1.5 liters Fashion Auto trim. It is not sure yet that how many trims will be available for sale in Pakistan.
Engine & Power:
It offers two different engine options either it will be charged by 1.3 liters naturally aspirated petrol engine producing a horsepower of 75 KW (100 HP) and torque of 128 Nm or a 1.5 liters Euro 5 petrol engine generating horsepower of 85 KW (113 HP) and 148 Nm of torque. It is available in both automatic transmission and five-speed manual transmission giving you smooth and controlled throttle changes.
It has the option of the front-wheel-drive only and the all-wheel driving facility is not available yet in it. The fuel economy of BAIC D20 is efficient enough to run a distance of 100 kilometers with a consumption of 7 liters of petrol when powered by a 1.3 liters engine while 1.5 liters of engine utilizes 8 liters of petrol to give a mileage of 100 kilometers.
Exterior Design & Features:
BAIC D20 is built on Smart FORFOUR chassis technology that ensures you a comfortable and safe ride. It has a bold grille which is quite attractive and the contour lines are prominent enough to run all along the length of the vehicle while the aggressively looking LED headlights are given with daytime running lights.
The overall design of the BAIC D20 Hatchback resembles the sedan but it misses a boot that distinguishes it from sedans. The Rear-end is also quite decent and fourteen inches alloy wheels give it a bold appreciated look while body-colored handles of the door and overall paint finishing are spectacular.
Interior Design & Features:
BAIC D20 hatchback gives you comfortable seating accommodating five adults comfortably and giving a spacious cabin to enjoy your rides with full relaxation while seats are covered with the fabric having fine stitching. The cabin also has a generous amount of storage cabins like door bins, cup holders, and bottle holders while the rear shelf can be removed to carry some more stuff with you. The cabin is themed in piano black color and chrome accents giving it amazing looks while the sunroof adds more light and brightness inside the cabin.
The central console has a 6 inches touch screen display for infotainment showing GPS navigation and a display of rearview camera too.
SAFETY FEATURES of this hatchback include an anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution, airbags, anti-theft alarm, child locks, seat belt warning alarm, engine immobilizer, and forward-collision warning alarm.
Major Competitors:
BAIC D20 hatchback will be giving a tough competition to Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Wagon R, Kia Picanto, FAW V2, Toyota Vitz, Mitsubishi Mirage, and Toyota Passo.
Price:
Starting price of the all-new BAIC D20 hatchback will be around 19 lacs Pakistani rupees but the exact official price has not been confirmed yet by the Company while during Pakistan Auto Show 2020 at Lahore, as told by the Staff car, will be priced the same as cultus which is 45-50 Lacs Pakistan Rupees. But let’s hope that company may change the plan and give it an affordable price as compared to its competitors and will be giving plenty of features at this budget-friendly price.

This is start of summer season, A lot of community want to buy new cars as well as replacing old one with Air conditioning cars. SUZUKI With the less price is alto is not affordable as well as not according to New upgrades.
So kindly it is requested to cover this need by launching your models as soon as possible, before Ramadan Shareef.
