Pak Suzuki has discontinued the production of the 2nd generation, Suzuki Swift, from August 2021. Pak Suzuki Motors produced only 2432 units of Swift from August 2020 to August 2021. After the discontinuation of the 2nd generation Suzuki Swift, it is expected that the 4th generation Swift will launch in 2022. The Test mules of 4th generation Swift were spotted on roads of Karachi, and we expect the hybrid version to launch first. The Suzuki Swift 2nd generation was launched in 2010 in Pakistan when it was replaced by the 3rd generation globally. The new generations of vehicles come to Pakistan when they have been discontinued globally. The same is the case with the 4th generation Suzuki Swift, it is discontinued in 2021 globally, and when it is dead in the rest of the world, the new generation will arrive in Pakistan this year. The 4th generation Suzuki Swift will be available in the hybrid version first after the government incentives the automobile companies on hybrid vehicles. The Toyota Indus has also announced its plans for hybrid cars in Pakistan, and Pak Suzuki is also going in the flow. The previous generation Suzuki Swift with a 1.3-litre engine was not a good seller and listed at the bottom of all local cars, so the discontinuation of Suzuki Swift was not a shock to the customers. The introduction of the Suzuki Swift hybrid version will attract customers looking for a fuel-efficient vehicle. The 5th generation Suzuki Swift will be launching globally in July 2022, but we have to wait for another couple of years to have it in Pakistan after retiring from the rest of the world. The 4th generation Suzuki Swift will launch in Pakistan by March 2022. Pak Suzuki Motors will confirm the exact date of Suzuki Swift’s launch and the price.
